MyNotes ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our service:

• Email address — collected via Google Sign-In (OAuth) for authentication
• User ID — a unique identifier assigned by Firebase Authentication
• Notes content — the notes and categories you create within the app

We do not collect your name, phone number, location, or any other personal information.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate you and provide access to your notes
• To store and sync your notes securely across devices
• To manage your account

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than app functionality.

3. Data Security & Encryption

All notes are encrypted using AES-256-CTR with HMAC-SHA256 before being stored in the cloud. Your notes are private — only you can read them.

All data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any third parties.

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore & Firebase Authentication), which is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

• In-app: Top bar menu → Delete Account
• By request: Visit our account deletion page

Upon deletion, all your notes, categories, and authentication data are permanently and irreversibly removed.
